چکیده

Mean radiant temperature (MRT) is one of the six primary factors that determine thermal comfort in a given environment. In this study, average was determined using calculation method based on surrounding surface temperatures and view factors. The present study specifically investigated use calculated temperature, compared to measured for predicting mean vote (PMV) percentage dissatisfied (PPD) parameters. validated by experimental measurements via black sphere thermometer at five different reference points test room, including panels ceiling walls. By global measurements, proposed approach achieved high degree compatibility an accuracy 0.17 °C, which difference between values. results demonstrated reliability procedure calculate designated room; here, straightforward evaluating conditions office room determining optimal location air sensor PMV-controlled systems also proposed. This contributes increasing field research offers knowledge beneficial design optimization indoor environments.

An experimental and theoretical study of a hydronic radiant ceiling panel heating system

The objective of this study is to improve the design of hydronic radiant panel systems through the understanding of the thermal performance of panel systems. The scope of this study includes performing experiments using testing facilities and the radiant panel ceiling in the Energy Research House, and developing a theoretical model that can predict heat transfer from a radiant ceiling panel. In...

Performances of Low Temperature Radiant Heating Systems

The low temperature radiant systems are very complex because they involve different mechanisms of heat transfer: heat conduction through the walls, heat convection between the heating panel and the indoor air, heat radiation between the heating panel and the surrounding areas, and the heat conduction between the floor and the ground. The main essence of the low-temperature air systems is to pro...

Heat exchanger technology and applications: ground source heat pump system for buildings heating and cooling

The earth’s surface acts as a huge solar collector, absorbing radiation from the sun. In the UK, the ground maintains a constant temperature of 11-13oC several metres below the surface all the year around.1 Among many other alternative energy resources and new potential technologies, the ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are receiving increasing interest because of their potential to reduce prim...

Numerical and Experimental Analyses of the Radiant Heat Flux Produced by Quartz Heating Systems

A method is developed for predicting the radiant heat ux distribution produced by tungsten lament , tubular fused-quartz envelope heating systems with re BLOCKINectors. The method is an application of Monte Carlo simulation, which takes the form of a random walk or ray tracing scheme. The method is applied to four systems of increasing complexity, including a single lamp without a re BLOCKINect...

Experimental and Numerical Study of the Radiant Induction-Unit and the Induction Radiant Air-Conditioning System

In this paper we proposed the novel air-conditioning system which combined induction ventilation and radiant air-conditioning. The indoor terminal device is the radiant induction-unit (RIDU). The RIDU is the induction unit combined with the pore radiant panel on which the copper pipes with rigid aluminum diffusion fins are installed. The two-stage evaporator chiller with the non-azeotropic mixt...
